Media certainly does play a major part in perpetuating ideology, which is mostly likely why our culture is stagnating to a degree. The goals that we continue to work towards for equality of all groups and minorities, LGBT rights, women's rights, African American rights, these are all issues that have been supressed in some way by the strong hold our masogonitstic societal construct.
